CinemaCon honors Bekmambetov

CinemaCon has drawn on Timur Bekmambetov because the person receiving its Worldwide Filmmaker of the season award. Mitch Neuhauser, controlling director of CinemaCon, made the announcement Friday. The kudo will be provided on April 23, the outlet day's the 4-day event at Caesars Structure in Vegas. Bekmambetov is presently pointing and creating the live action adaptation of Seth Grahame-Smith's "Abraham Lincoln subsequently: Vampire Hunter," slated for any June 22 release from Fox. Born within the Kazakh Soviet Socialist Republic, Bekmambetov started his career among the company directors of Bank Imperial's "World History" advertisements before founding the Bazelevs Group in 1994. He earned his feature film debut with "Peshavar Vals" and directed "Evening Watch" and "Day Watch" prior to making with Hollywood directorial debut with "Wanted."
